THE NEW NORMAL

There is a new normal in town and guess what it is.......................If you can't guess, i will let you in on what it is. 'Agriculture' is regarded as the mainstay of the Nigerian economy but has overtime lost her place. The negligence and shift from the agricultural sector has brought about confusion to many even as the sector contributes about 40 percent of the Gross Domestic Product(GDP) and employs about 70 percent of the working population in Nigeria.

The covid-19 has brought into limelight, the endured agony of the Agricultural sector and how it's taking a toll on the Nigerian people and the world at large. The neglect of the agricultural sector has been exposed and has shown how food insecure we are as a Nation.

As a result of the pandemic, we've returned back to our vomit, right??? Here's something about agriculture; it is a large sector that is open to all irrespective of your area of pursuit, it doesn't reject, it embraces, it provides diverse opportunities for all. Agriculture is the 'new normal' as we all are running back to our roots, many are leveraging on the agricultural value chains.
